Re-set mobile, a circular, ultra-light, parachute-like tent supported by 24 thin aluminum planks is touring the world. After Belgium, Argentina, Japan, Korea, Holland, Germany and Iceland next year it will land in Italy between Calabria and Abruzzo.

Re-set began in 2011 as a project of Belgian artist Gert Robijns who created a giant model of his native village, Gotem with the intention of creating an art space for meetings, discussions, and exhibitions. During Covid, the desire for mobility was born and the desire to involve artists and colleagues from the art world as fellow travelers everywhere.

At this year's Icelandic leg I had the honor and pleasure of participating: days filled with meetings, filming, interviews and performances, all strictly under the banner of conviviality. The purpose of re-set mobile is to encourage a participatory and self-sufficient team and audience. From time to time, the historical and emotional legacy of the place is examined, but at the same time doors are opened to the world of production and new technologies.

The creation of these "Freespaces" fits well with the ideality and characteristics that distinguish No Man's Land, and we have made plans for next year to host Re-set Mobile in and around Loreto Aprutino.
